These are the Family Worship lessons that we have written ourselves. There are seven lessons on the same topic, one for each day of the week. It is not necessary that they are done seven straight consecutive days (I know that can be tough) but they are best done close together so it is fresh in their mind and in yours It’s a great way to introduce a topic and then get deeper and deeper into the topic each day. Repetition is key to hiding it in our hearts! We have had a fun time as a family doing the activities in the lessons and discussing together what the Word of God teaches. Each one of us gained from really focussing on one thing for an entire week. We memorized Scripture! We saw lasting change, changed hearts! Imagine that! The lessons are written so you have everything you need to just sit down and get started. Any materials you might need for the activities are things that you should have around your home already. The Scripture can be clicked on to show straight from on your computer and there are links to suggested music to end the night with. We recommend keeping a dry erase board, chalkboard, or paper that you can use with a visual of the key verse or verses handy. Feel free to print whatever images you would like from this lesson as well. Reading ahead for just a few minutes the day before or the day of will give you time to do what you need before you start, if desired. The lessons are written so that little to no preparation is needed. Give it a try! If you are new to having a family worship time and this seems overwhelming start with something simple and small at first (Thoughts that Make Your Heart Sing is a good start) till your family get’s used to a set time. Keep it fun and engaging. These lessons are meant to help you do just that. Your family will begin looking forward to the time of discussion and worship together.
I will post as I write for my own personal use and for your use as well, if you desire. All written here is founded in Scripture. You may use, add, and eliminate whatever you like. Each family is different and has different things that work for them. I have so many lessons I want to write and I will be seeking to write as I find the time and inspiration. At the rate I am going I may have a years worth of lessons by the time I am 80! But seriously, I hope what has been written so far can be useful for you and your family! Lord willing our families will bear much fruit for the Kingdom of God!
